Our Story
The Ocdamia Music Group was founded in 2008 to serve clients looking for talented and experienced musicians for their events. With humble beginnings, we started with one string trio in 2008. Twelve years later, we have over 150 musicians from different cultural backgrounds. We have talented solo musicians (violin, cello, piano, harp, guitar, saxophone & flute), classical groups, live bands, and emcees/DJs with positive attitudes and strong work ethics devoted to making each event a successful one.
We promote equal opportunities, regardless of gender, age, or ethnicity in recruiting musicians and accepting clients. We are a proud supporter of the LGBT community. Margie oversees all aspects of bookings, marketing, and accounting of Ocdamia Music Group, LLC. She is in-charge of sourcing musicians for multiple bookings. Reliability, excellent customer service, and music performance quality are her utmost goal for daily operations.
Margie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Major in Accounting from California State University – Fullerton. Margie is a socio-entrepreneur who empowers and supports job creation for local communities. She is extremely passionate about promoting equal opportunities to everyone, regardless of gender, age, race or ethnicity.
She translates this when welcoming musicians to the team as well as accepting client bookings. She is a proud supporter of the LGBT community.
Arthur Ocdamia, better known as Art by his friends, has over 30 years of experience as a cello player and has been a member of five different orchestras in LA: the Cypress Pops Orchestra (since 1992), Bell Flower Symphony Orchestra (since 1993), La Mirada Symphony Orchestra (from 2000 to 2005), the South East Symphony Orchestra (since 2005) and the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO).
Prior to immigrating to the U.S. 30 years ago, Art toured around the world as a musician on board the Holland America Cruise Line. Art has been in the wedding music business for over 20 years and has played for over a thousand clients. As Ocdamia Music Groups’s Music Director, he oversees the quality of music and updates the OMG playlist; from well-loved classics to the most recent hits.

Botchok is a professional violinist, violin instructor, and music therapist based in Simi Valley. He is dedicated to empowering people in the community through music.
Cecile Coo
Palm Springs Area Team Leader
Cecile is a professional violinist who has served as a concertmaster at a local orchestra in Southern California and has performed for recordings, events, and television.
LaVette Allen

LaVette is a professional violinist and music teacher in Los Angeles. She plays for several orchestras in LA including Culver City Symphony and M.E.S.T.O.

Marc is a professional cellist based in Los Angeles. A recording artist and music instructor with a passion for exploring music styles, he performs with the band Chills.
Miren Edelstein
San Diego Area Team Leader
Miren is a San Diego based professional violinist and PhD student. She has performed at numerous concerts and events in the US and Asia.

The music industry has become saturated that many of highly skilled musicians rarely get an opportunity to share their talent. This observation led husband and wife, Arthur and Margie Ocdamia to create OMG! Ocdamia Music Group, LLC.
In 2008, Margie was working full-time and studying at the same time. In 2009, they were blessed to have a son. Their son was born severely premature, requires full medical attention and personal care. They were challenged on how they are going to take care of their newborn son, and at the same time, manage the business.
Since 2009, Arthur has been playing every weekend to wedding gigs, corporate functions, and other special events while he takes care of their son during the weekdays. On the other hand, Margie continues to go to school full time on weekdays, takes care of their son during weekends, and handling bookings for the group.
We are highly rated and are on the preferred vendor lists of dozens of the best venues in Southern California. Booking us gets you a group of highly educated musicians from such prestigious Universities such as UC Berkeley, California Institute of the Arts, University of the Philippines, Odessa State Academy, Andrews University and Western Michigan University.
